Backstage Help Wanted!

We are looking for parent volunteers to assist in supervising your dancer's class backstage for the Peter Pan performances on Saturday, June 28th.

During the performance, dancers will be assigned to the Roosevelt Room, a classroom next to the stage. Volunteers will be assisting in the Roosevelt Room on SHOW DAY only (volunteers are not needed for dress rehearsal). CDC staff will be managing the Roosevelt Room.

Volunteer roles include but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing dancers waiting to perform
  • Escorting dancers backstage and connecting with backstage staff
  • Chaperoning dancers to the bathroom backstage
  • Assisting the dancers in the finale

As a volunteer, you will assist backstage for the entire duration of the performance and you will have the opportunity to watch your dancer from the side of the stage during their dance. Volunteers do not need to purchase a ticket.

Please note: Only parents of dancers in the show can volunteer.

We will not be taking backstage volunteers for Imagine a Tale (the 7:00PM evening performance).

  • Volunteers will assist on the day of the performance, Saturday, June 28th.
  • Check-in for volunteers will be at the Roosevelt Room 45 minutes before show time on Saturday, June 28th (9:45AM for the morning show and 1:45PM for the afternoon show).
  • A staff member will meet with volunteers on the day of the performance to provide more guidance for backstage assistance.
  • An email reminder and more details will be sent to volunteers the week before the performance.
